Choreographer Berit Ahlgren seeks performers for CEDARBACKE, a new work produced by HoneyWorks that will premiere its first of three segments at Arena Dances’ Candy Box Festival, April 27-29, 2023, at the Southern Theater in Minneapolis, MN. This piece will be developed between Ahlgren and the cast, through studying the history of the Southern Theater and its relationship to the surrounding neighborhood on the West Bank of the Mississippi River.
This project seeks professional performers from all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. As the piece will be built collaboratively, a personal interest and history with the Southern Theater or Cedar-Riverside neighborhood is of interest. All rehearsals take place at the Cowles Center.
$1500 stipend for rehearsals and performances, roughly 80 hours of commitment.
