Beginnings, portals, doorways, entries, starting points.  A performance celebration commemorating the 100th anniversary of the CFPA’s original home, the Pleasant Avenue convent.
Originally built in 1923 by the Incarnation Catholic Church as a convent for the nuns who taught in the school across the street, the building later supported a women’s shelter and since 1995, has served the community as the Center for Performing Arts.
The celebration includes food and drink provided by Ichigo Crepes and Cafe Ena/Meson, and performances by:
- Mahto Peta Toispaye Drum Group
- Prairie Fire Lady Choir
- Ikidowin Youth Acting Ensemble
- Brass Solidarity
And featuring new works by CFPA’s 2023 Resident Artists:
- Kerry Parker Dance with Gemma Isaacson, Arimee Gambill, Alejandra Iannone, and Elayna Waxse.

Opening at 6:00pm with Mahto Peta Toispaye Drum Group.
Additional performances every 30 minutes.
