Intermediate/Advanced: 10:00-11:30am; $20/class

Starting January 20
Join Concerto Dance every third Saturday of the month for teen/adult drop-in jazz dance classes at the BCA. Our signature jazz dance style blends vernacular and classical jazz dance in a virtuosic, high energy and highly musical context. Classes draw from the historical African roots of jazz and trace jazz dance through its development in the United States in the 20th century. Our aim is that participants encounter the historical roots and possibilities of jazz while experiencing the freedom, joy and community found in jazz dance.
January 20 – African Roots of Jazz
February 17 – Vernacular Jazz of the Swing Era
March 16 – Mid-Century Classical Jazz
April 20 – Broadway Jazz
May 18 – Jazz Funk

All participants will be asked to sign a waiver, if under 18 a parent or guardian signature is required.
