Experience the myth, movement, and sacred lineage of Cambodia through a visually rich evening of dance inspired by one of the kingdom’s most enduring origin stories. Following The Serpent’s Veil tells the sacred tale of Preah Thong and Neang Neak, the union between an Indian prince and a Naga princess—a story believed to form the spiritual foundation of Cambodia itself. Exploring themes of love, ancestry, immigration, identity, and cultural continuity, this production reflects on how traditions endure through movement, memory, and connection.
Founded in 2008 by Master Yousedy Peov, Wattanak Dance Troupe preserves and shares Cambodian performing arts through storytelling, intergenerational teaching, and community engagement.
