Seeking Proposals: 2024 Dances at the Lake Festival

Ray Terrill Dance Group is currently mobilizing for presenting the upcoming 22nd Annual Dances at the Lake Festival – occurring at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden in Minneapolis. The two free, open to the public concerts will be presented on July 19 and 20, 2024, 7:00pm.

Professional individual artists, adult and youth companies are encouraged to submit a proposal for consideration. All forms of dance welcome. Work must be inclusive and family friendly. These outdoor performances are performed on grass. Dances should be seven minutes or less. Each performing group receives a $350 honorarium.

  • Description of planned dance, including length
  • Number of artists involved
  • Link to sample video of work – preferably of the dance to be performed

Twin Cities Ballet: Openings for 2024/25 Season

Twin Cities Ballet is seeking Soloist and Principal level dancers for our 2024/25 season. This is a competitive salaried position with a 35-week season. Strong classical ballet, partnering, and contemporary skills required. You must be eligible to work in the United States.

We also have opportunities for unpaid adult apprenticeship and student trainee positions for both male and female dancers.

  • Your resumé.
  • Two photos: First arabesque and a headshot showing at least 3/4 face. Either attach small format photos or provide a link.

Minnesota Ballet Theatre Audition

Minnesota Ballet Theatre is hiring Male and Female dancers with strong classical technique for Company Trainee and Apprentice positions for the 2024/2025 Season.

The season runs from September 2024 to May 2025.

Classes and rehearsals usually occur Monday through Thursday from 9:30am-2:00pm (schedule subject to change), with additional classes and rehearsals on Saturdays and Sundays before performances.

To be considered for Company positions, please submit your resume/CV and video link to: minnesotaballettheatre@gmail.com. Videos should include a classical variation (en pointe for women). Latest performance video is preferred if possible.

Searching for Male/AMAB Dancers

In need of masculine dancers for a piece exploring what masculinity means. Small show meant for exposure and formation of a collaborative group of artists.

Rehearsals are on Monday mornings, starting March 18. Warm-up classes are in Graham Modern, but knowledge of that technique is not required.

Preferably someone enthusiastic about choreography, flexible in the rehearsal process, and with a minimum of 3 years of training in modern or contemporary techniques. Must have a willingness to show up and work hard consistently. Performance experience not required.

Paid Bodystorming Opportunities

Calling all dancers and/or scientists! Come join Black Label Movement with UMN Biomedical Engineer David Odde and his cancer research lab in a Bodystorming session.

Bodystorming is a rapid modeling technique using bodies, space, and choreographic strategies.
Participating dance artists receive $27.50/hour and parking reimbursement.

North Ballet Academy seeks instructors for the 2024/2025 season, beginning September 3, 2024.
Available Positions: Ballet, Young Dancer Division Ballet for ages 3-8

Qualifications
2+ years of dance instructor experience
Strong references and recommendations
Strong knowledge of terminology and technique
Collaborative, energetic, dedicated, outgoing, and positive

Responsibilities
Instructing 2-5 days per week
Choreography/cleaning of The Nutcracker, Spring Production, and Summer Production
