Zenon Dance School – Xchange Program/Work-Study

We are looking for volunteers to be a part of our Xchange Program for the current Fall Session!

Xchange is Zenon’s work-study program that allows students to volunteer in exchange for dance class credit. The Fall Session will run from September 12-December 18. There will be no classes the evening of Wednesday, November 23 through Sunday, November 27.

Online shift = one class credit
In-person shift = two class credits

Mondays: 9:30-11:30am – 1 volunteer
Mondays: 5:15-7:15pm – 1 volunteer
Wednesdays: 9:15-11:15am – 1 volunteer; class meets in person every other week

Sundays: 9:45-11:30am – 1 volunteer
Sundays: 10:45am-12:30pm – 1 volunteer

TU Dance Center: YoungArts Information Session

Join us for an information session open to the general public to learn more about the YoungArts program and its application process, guided by dancer-choreographer and YoungArts alum Alanna Morris. This community event offers an accessible opportunity to explore post-secondary school/college-preparedness as an artist, along with general life and business skills. A Q&A will follow the presentation, providing time to make deeper connections for participants.

Wednesday, October 19 from 6:30-8:00pm

The Cowles Center’s Programs and Education Advisory Committee

As we look to shape programming, it’s important that we have input from our community. The Cowles Center is looking for 3-5 additional advisory committee representatives to provide insights, guidance, and feedback to our programming which includes curated seasons in the Goodale and TEK BOX, community engagement initiatives for artists, and education programs for youth to adult learners.

We will be intentional in garnering the participation of BIPOC individuals, LGBTQIA2+ representatives, and people with disabilities. Ideal candidates may include but are not limited to artistic directors, independent artists, dancers, patrons, educators, and community advocates.
