Zenon Dance School – In Person with Berit Ahlgren

Guess who’s back in the studio? Berit Ahlgren is teaching an IN PERSON ONLY section of gaga/people at Zenon Dance School this summer starting Tuesday, July 13.

Throughout the class, participants are guided by a series of evocative instructions deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation. Rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically challenging experience.

While many instructions are imbued with rich imagery, the research of Gaga is fundamentally physical, insisting on a specific process of embodiment. Inside this shared research, the improvisational nature of the exploration enables each participant’s deeply personal connection with Gaga.

Pre-registration and masks are required for all in person classes at Zenon Dance School at this time.

Feel free to reach out with any questions and register online today: conta.cc/39fJDXN

Erin Thompson Teaches Advanced Contemporary Classes In Person

A light-skinned dancer in her 60s tosses her arms in a curve to the left while she rises on her toes

Erin’s advanced level contemporary Zoom class through Zenon Dance School includes floor work, standing warm-ups, and phrase work, all designed to enhance the healthy use of joints and muscle groups as dancers release their weight fully into the support of the ground. Experiential awareness, body mapping, improvisation, and creative work are included as dancers channel their own expressive artistry within the movement. The delightful Dean Magraw will accompany on guitar.

Thursday mornings, 9:30-11:00am

NOTE – Classes will be in person and on Zoom!

Registration is open through Zenon’s MindBody portal and closes ten minutes before class.
See you, in person or virtually, soon!
