Friday Morning Jazz Through Zenon – Erinn This Week Plus Hybrid for Summer

Erinn Liebhard is back at it teaching Friday Morning Jazz through Zenon Dance School for this last class of Zenon’s Spring Session, Friday, May 28!

Erinn’s approach to jazz emphasizes groove, interaction and improvisation, is inspired by both social and concert dance movement (particularly that with African diasporic roots), and is driven by jazz music. Join her for this Zoom-based class on Friday morning from 10:00-11:15am.

Class skews intermediate-advanced and welcomes all comers, including drop-ins and first-time attendees! Register at least ten minutes in advance of class at zenondance.org. If you need help navigating how to join or to see if there are discounts available, connect with erika@zenondance.org.

We’re also excited to share that come Zenon’s summer session, we will move to a HYBRID class format, meaning there will be space for a limited number of in-person students with the instructor (masked and socially-distanced) in the studio, AND a high-quality ZOOM option for those dancing from home. We hope it will be the best of both worlds! Our first class in this format is Friday, June 11.
There is no class June 4 due to Zenon’s session break.
Come groove with us!

Darrius Strong teaches in May

This movement practice will take form in a modern dance class. Using elements of Alexander and Horton technique, Strong will be focusing on stretching and strengthening the body as well as focusing on releasing tension in the body as we move. Class will also be followed with phrase work/choreography as we explore avenues on how to best embody movement in the most authentic ways. Come learn some of the techniques Strong uses in order to find and discover his own voice through choreography!
