Prerequisites: Some experience with psychology/therapy, and/or movement, dance or healing approaches or permission of instructor.
Our bodies and movement patterns reflect our implicit biases. Through embodied inquiring this class aims to help deepen our self-awareness and promote cultural humility in relationship to the danced/interactions we have with others. This class will use embodied experiences, lectures, and discussions to increase skills related to multicultural, diversity, and power/privilege awareness. This course is approved by the American Dance Therapy Association, for Alternate Route R-DMT credit.

Barbara Nordstrom-Loeb, MA, MFA, BC-DMT, LMFT, CMA, SEP; WoS. Barbara is a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Laban Movement Analyst, Somatic Experiencing and Ways of Seeing Practitioner. She is particularly interested in the role of embodiment and creativity in relationship to identity, wholeness and healing from a diversity and multicultural perspective.
