Balance is a dynamic state. Our systems are never fixed in one position but continually adjusting and calibrating to the constant changes around and within ourselves. Deepening a sense and trust of our physical balance connects to a sense of emotional and nervous system balance and contributes to a greater confidence and resilience in our actions.

In this two-day workshop led by Krista and Jeffrey, participants will engage in Feldenkrais Awareness-Through-Movement lessons, discussions, and experiential anatomy activities to explore the interconnected states of stability, mobility, and recovery and how they contribute to a more functionally satisfying way of being.

New Feldenkrais Series: Step Into Ease with Sarah Baumert

Step into Ease: A Feldenkrais Course for Intelligent Feet and Better Balance

8 lessons beginning on May 10.
Wednesdays, 6:30pm CST and Sundays, 4:00pm CST
Available to take via livestream on Zoom or using the self-paced recordings.

This course will bring the unique principles of the Feldenkrais method to the health and function of your feet, ankles, knees, and hips, helping to improve your balance and stability. With personalized guidance and support, you will learn how to integrate what you learn in the lessons into your daily life. Sustain better posture, walking, running, and balance with more comfort, pleasure, and efficiency.

Your feet are the foundation of your body and they play a critical role in your balance and overall physical well-being. Any dysfunction or pain in your feet can impact your stability and make it difficult to move with ease. These lessons can not only make you feel taller, more upright, and stand with more ease, but in general can dramatically help you improve your balance and walking with more ease, grace, and confidence.

This series will start from the ground up, by addressing the form, function, suppleness, and responsiveness of your feet. These lessons will help you find coordination between the feet to the legs, all the way up through the pelvis, spine to head. You will discover how your feet work in tandem with the knees to support your movement and balance. We will play with finding the springy innate intelligence of the feet, allowing you to connect to the earth with greater adaptability. Many lessons will be done lying on the back, with some time to integrate the floor work in standing.
