Afoutayi Haitian Dance, Music, and Arts Group is committed to preserving and promoting Haitian culture through immersive dance, drum, and song classes and events.

Afoutayi’s mission is to celebrate Haitian traditions while expanding our influence as cultural ambassadors by collaborating with Afro-Caribbean dance and cultural groups. We aim to infuse our art with the spirit and stories of marginalized communities, creating a vibrant cultural hub in our region. We aspire to create a dynamic platform where diverse cultural narratives thrive and where people from all backgrounds can engage with and learn from the rich heritage of the Haitian and Afro-Caribbean communities, overcoming stereotypes and growing in solidarity with one another.

We invite you to join our Afoutayi’s Fall-Winter Sessions for a unique Haitian and Afro-Caribbean experience!

Haitian Dance and Culture Physique with Fofo
Haitian dance, coordination, mobility, muscular strength, and flexibility for adults/seniors of all levels.
Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm: October 22-December 10, no class November 26
In-person at the Center for Performing Arts.
Cost: $140 for the Fall-Winter Session or $23 to drop in

Kids and Teens Triple Fun
Haitian dance, drumming, singing, and culture for K-12 students of all levels.
Sundays, 2:30-4:30pm: October 20-December 8, no class October 3 and December 1
In-person at the Center for Performing Arts.
Cost: $150 for the Fall-Winter Session or $25 to drop in

Chante ak / Sing with Fofo
Haitian Creole Folkloric and Vodou songs and Haitian Creole language for teens/adults of all levels.
Saturdays, 1:00-2:00pm: October 19-November 23, no class November 2
Class is online.
Cost: $200 for the Fall-Winter Session or $23 to drop in
