Duluth Dance Union: Summer Workshop #1
Inspired by contact improvisation, partner dance, performance, bodywork, and nature, this weekend workshop is a chance to play in our post-pandemic bodies on the shore of Lake Superior. We invite you to explore your desire to be a fearless dance researcher with us. Let’s build this dance thing together!
This dance workshop features three sessions and a dance party for movers of all types – expert to beginner. Lunch and dinner will be provided on Saturday, July 26 and a light breakfast on Sunday, July 27. For out-of-towners, we are seeking local hosts and can rent rooms at Hostel du Nord or a shared, short-term rental.

Location: Lafayette Community Center

Cost: Based on ability to pay, $100-$150

Saturday Working Itinerary
10:00am-1:00pm: Gather on the beach, followed by workshop in the studio
1:00-2:30pm: Lunch
2:30-5:30 pm: Afternoon workshop in the studio
5:30-7:30 pm: Dinner break
7:30-10:00pm: Dance party
Sunday Working Itinerary
8:00am: Breakfast
9:00am-12:00pm: Gather on the beach and workshop
12:00-1:00pm: Closing and cleanup
