Ballet Co.Laboratory’s Development Internship is designed for individuals interested in learning about arts administration with a special concentration on fundraising events and campaigns. The ideal candidate for this internship will have exceptional organizational/written/interpersonal skills, and creativity.
Internship Activities
Assist with the coordination and implementation of our largest fundraising efforts of the year:
- Annual benefit performance on Saturday, October 14
- Give to the Max Day on Thursday, November 16
- Nutcracker in Wonderland on December 8–10
- Calendar year-end mail and email campaign
Application Requirements
To ensure an optimal experience for the intern, the following is required to apply:
- Start date will be the week of September 11 and run through December 15. Intern must be able to work a regular work schedule of 16 hours per week during normal office hours, with an increase of hours the week of October 9 – 14 due to benefit duties.
- Must be able to work October 14, November 16, and December 8–10.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn.
- Arts administration experience preferred.
Internship Location and Compensation
Intern will fulfill their hours at the Ballet Co.Laboratory’s studios located at 276 E Lafayette Frontage Road in St. Paul. A $1,500 stipend will be provided – half paid in October and final payment in December. Parking is free and all drop-in/workshop adult classes are offered at no cost to the intern during their time of service.
