Workshops, Intensives, and Master Classes

Join us for a free, two-day movement workshop exploring procession, collective movement, and the rhythms of the Mississippi River as part of the development of From the Sediment

Together, we will investigate how bodies move through space individually and as a group, drawing inspiration from rivers, currents, accumulation, and flow. Through guided movement exercises, improvisation, walking practices, and collaborative composition, participants will contribute to the creation of a community procession that will become part of the larger performance project.

The workshop is led by choreographer and transdisciplinary artist Elizabeth Flinsch. No dance experience is necessary. The workshop welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and movement experiences. All bodies are welcome.

Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 from 10:30am-12:30pm
Location: The River Hub at Graco Park
Free and open to the public. RSVP encouraged. Email: eliz.flinsch@gmail.com

Whether you are curious about movement, interested in connecting with others, or looking for a new way to engage with the river and the city, this workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, pay attention, and move together.

This activity is made possible by the Bridge Fund for Dance program through the City of Minneapolis Arts & Cultural Affairs Department.
