About JHN DANCE
Dancer for 20 years and choreographer for 14 years, Jacob L. Hollingsworth has abundant experience in dance with formal training in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. He wanted to take dance to the next level by showing dancers that they are so much more than a sideshow or background act. His goal is to make dance the formidable art form it truly is with creativity and elite levels of skill. JHN Dance allows dancers to develop into professionals with training at a variety of different levels and class options.

Beginner – Learn the fundamentals of urban and hip-hop dance.
Intermediate – Start to incorporate dance choreography and develop your own personal style.
Advanced – Learn elite-level performance and choreography skills including production, direction, filmmaking, and more!

JHN DANCE Monthly includes three core content outlines: introduction, mid-month, and conclusion. These levels are contrived of multi-step learning to be paired with your dance lessons to make sure you are growing properly to kickstart your dance journey in your first month with JHN DANCE. Set your goals and vision for yourself and learn more about what can make you a phenomenal dancer!

JHN DANCER Rewards + JHN DANCE Monthly is a pairing of programs that will reward dancers for dancing! There are three tiers, and each level carries its very own set of rewards and benefits.

Erin Thompson Teaches Advanced Contemporary Classes in Person and on Zoom

Erin’s advanced-level contemporary dance class at Zenon Dance School includes floor work, standing warm-ups, and phrase work, all designed to enhance the healthy use of joints and muscle groups as dancers release their weight fully into the support of the ground. Experiential awareness, body mapping, improvisation, and creative work are included as dancers channel their own expressive artistry within the movement.

Modern Dance Class with Thern at Tapestry

Dancing and finding pleasure in movement is for everyone of any age!

I’ve taught dance for all ages and experience levels for over fifty years. In my weekly session of modern dance classes, we’ll be working with somatic movement, structured improvisation, and floor work to build strength, flexibility, and ease of movement. You’ll learn patterns that move through space in community with other dancers, encouraging spatial and group awareness.

Mondays, 12:00-1:30pm

Drop in for a jazz class in a safe, inclusive environment. Whether you’re just starting your dance journey or want to brush up on the basics, we welcome you to class.

Studio Rentals at Collide Theatrical in St. Paul

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location.

Studio 1 has 1700 square feet of sprung floor, full wall-length mirrors, Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor, high ceilings, skylights, and 3 chandeliers.
Studio 2 has 550 square feet of sprung wood floor.

Both studios have the following amenities:

  • Ballet barres for up to 18 students
  • Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
  • Gender-specific bathrooms (non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth room speakers
  • Cubbies for holding shoes and clothes
  • 2 long folding tables
  • Access to up to 30 folding chairs
  • HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control
  • Hallway drinking fountains
  • Access to kitchenette area available upon request

Single Rental: 
Studio 1 – $30/Hour
Studio 2 – $20/Hour

Long-Term or Multiple-Day Rental:

Weekly Rental Rate:

Class Rates
Adult Drop-Ins: $20 per class or $180 for a 10-class pass. Good for either ballet, jazz, or Collide Barre; must be used within 6 months.

Zenon Dance School – Winter Xchange Program/Work-Study

We are looking for volunteers to be a part of our Xchange Program for the current Winter Session!

Xchange is Zenon’s work-study program that allows students to volunteer in exchange for dance class credit.
The Winter Session will run from January 8-March 17.

Weekday in-person shift = one class credit
Weekend in-person shift = two class credits
All online shifts = one class credit
