Studio Rentals at Collide Theatrical in St. Paul

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location.

Studio 1 has 1700 square feet of sprung floor, full wall-length mirrors, Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor, high ceilings, sky lights, and 3 chandeliers.
Studio 2 has 550 square feet of sprung wood floor.

Both studios have the following amenities:

  • Ballet barres for up to 18 students
  • Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
  • Gender-specific bathrooms
  • Non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth room speakers
  • Cubbies for holding shoes and clothes
  • 2 long folding tables
  • Access to up to 30 folding chairs
  • HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control
  • Hallway drinking fountains.
  • Access to kitchenette area available upon request

Single Rental
Studio 1 – $30/hour
Studio 2 – $20/hour

Long-Term or Multiple-Day Rental
Studio 1 – $20/hour
Studio 2 – $15/hour

Advanced Drop-In Classes with Collide Theatrical

Join us for class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:30am.
Beginning again January 8, 2024 Collide offers intermediate/advanced ballet, advanced jazz, and Collide Barre with the company.

Teachers and classes on a rotating schedule.
Pre-registration is required.

Open Level Jazz Classes at Collide

Drop in for a jazz class in a safe, inclusive environment. Whether you’re just starting your dance journey or want to brush up on the basics, we welcome you to class.

Monday evenings, 7:00–8:30pm.

For ages 14 and older.

Ballare Teatro is closed December 19 through January 1. Classes resume on Tuesday, January 2.

TU Dance Center: Creative Movement Children’s Program

In Creative Movement for ages 3-5 and 5-7, children will grow in physical awareness and build basic movement skills, balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength. Students will expand their knowledge of musical instruments and the connection between dance and music, learn basic rhythmical movement phrases, and improvise and create dance ideas that communicate an experience or theme.

The TU Dance Pre-Professional Program is an intensive course of study integrating modern, ballet, African dance, conditioning and creative workshops for students up to age 24.

The TU Dance Center Children & Teen Program introduces the joy of creative movement and beginning dance technique. Classes, divided by age, provide a comprehensive base on which to expand by developing body awareness, coordination, balance, flexibility, strength and musicality.

TU Dance: THREAT by Yusha-Marie Sorzano

TU Dance is one of four dance companies participating in the pilot program The O’Shaughnessy Dance Cohort. THREAT is an evening-length work choreographed by TU Dance Guest Artist Yusha-Marie Sorzano.

THREAT is a concert dance theater work that aims to provoke an interrogation of the roles we play as individuals and communities in hierarchies. The work posits that hierarchies have the power to control our behavior and infiltrate our thoughts, even when no authority is present to enforce the rules. Using a physical language and soundscape that fuses multicultural traditions and styles of the West and the African Diaspora, this social exploration invites audiences into a modern narrative that speaks to the universal experience of authority, obedience, and rebellion.

Rent TU Dance Center Studios

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming.

TU Dance Center features a reception area and front desk for check-in or event use. Access to adjacent dressing room and green room with kitchenette are available upon request.

Studio 1: 60 x 34
Studio 2: 46 x 21

Both studios feature:
Sprung dance floor with Marley-type surface by Harlequin
Wall of mirrors
Portable ballet barre units 10′ in length
Room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs
50″ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing
Large windows providing ample natural light

Studio 1 only: A curtain that can be drawn on entire mirror; wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′.

Rental fees:
Individual artists: $18/hour
Nonprofit organizations: $22/hour for rehearsals

A holiday favorite fit for the whole family!

Welcome to the ultimate holiday party where the guests are singers, musicians, tap dancers, and beatboxers! Join this vibrant and talented cast in an interactive, inspirational, all-age, fun, funky, feel-good celebration of the holiday season!

The party takes a turn when two of the cast members become beatboxing investigators on the hunt to find who brought the humbug? Join this vibrant and talented cast in an inspirational, all-age, all-inclusive, family-friendly, fun, funky, feel-good celebration of the holiday season!

Tickets
Regular, in-person single tickets are $49 while student/senior tickets are $39.
Audiences are invited to boost their holiday cheer by getting close to the action at a front-row cabaret-style VIP table. VIP tickets will enjoy the performance with a complimentary sparkling drink, macarons from Nikkollette’s Macarons, and a more immersive experience.

Ballet Minnesota’s 35th Annual Nutcracker

Ballet Minnesota presents the 35th annual Nutcracker!

Special guest soloists, Nicole Fedorov and Kaitaro Kodama will dance the pas de deux in the signature roles of Sugar Plum Fairy and the Cavalier.

Husband and wife team, Andrew, and Cheryl Rist, are at the helm of Classical Ballet Academy of MN, founded in 1987, and Ballet Minnesota, which they co-founded in 1990. Andrew Rist serves as Ballet Minnesota’s artistic director and Cheryl Rist serves as Ballet Minnesota’s Regisseur, costume designer and director of Classical Ballet Academy, the company’s official school for dancers ages 4 to 18.
