Studios for Rent at Ballet Co.Laboratory

Come create at Ballet Co.Laboratory. Our artistic home is available for hourly rentals to independent artists and arts organizations. Book a single day to work on your artistry, secure a month to rehearse a show, or facilitate your weekly programming here – the choice is yours! We look forward to collaborating with you on your space needs.

Public Transportation
The studio is accessible via the Greenline into downtown Saint Paul and the 71A or 71B bus.

Free parking is available in front of the studio.

Facility
We have five studios at Ballet Co.Laboratory with sprung floors, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, and barres, plus four gender-neutral restrooms, changing rooms, and comfortable lobby space with Wi-fi access and ample seating. The entire facility is HVAC heated and cooled.

Studio 1: 25′ x 50′ – 15-person capacity – $20/hour
Studio 2: 25′ x 50′ – 15-person capacity – $20/hour
Studio 3: 25′ x 30′ – 8-person capacity – $15/hour
Studio 4: 42′ x 50′ – 30-person capacity – Rental available via special request
Studio 5: 25′ x 28′ – 8-person capacity – $15/hour

2024 Summer Programs at The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory

The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory offers the finest dance education to artists of all ages and abilities in a nurturing and welcoming environment. Our summer programming gives students the opportunity to train with locally and nationally acclaimed dance professionals who are dedicated to the growth of each individual student.

Daily Drop-In Classes at Hothouse

Open dance and fitness classes seven days a week! Class offerings include ballet, Arabic dance, contemporary, twerking, jazz, BollyX, hip hop, zumba, heels, sessions, and more.

Hothouse is a multi-purpose studio space in Minneapolis featuring drop-in classes for teens and adults. Whether you’re already involved in the local arts scene, an aspiring dance professional looking to bolster your training, or just a human who loves to move, Hothouse offers classes that celebrate the bliss of movement and embrace you for who you are.

Hothouse Studio Rental – Northeast Minneapolis

Make Hothouse your home! Our space is available for hourly rentals to independent artists, freelance instructors, and companies. Like a community garden, filled with unique plots, the beauty of Hothouse is in the diversity of the people that fill our space.

Hothouse has expanded and now has three brand new studios to choose from on the second floor of the Kennedy Building.

Sunna – New Pilates and Yoga Studio with Discounts for Full-Time Artists

Welcome to Sunna, a wellness studio committed to your radiance through grounding and restoring, energizing and strengthening, group and individual, and mind and body practices. We specialize in Pilates, Yoga, GYROKINESIS®, and Barre class formats, with an emphasis on alignment, healing, integration, and functional movement. We foster a welcoming environment for those based in the neighborhood as well as those traveling longer distances or passing through the Twin Cities.

Featuring a wide array of knowledgeable instructors, including local dance artists Amanda Sachs, Berit Ahlgren, Eva Mohn, Genevieve Waterbury, Kari Schire, Nic Lincoln, Non Edwards, and Samantha Meryhew.

MotionArt Adult Modern Dance Classes

MotionArt’s mission is to share the art of dance and the joy of movement with people of all ages and abilities. We strive to enrich lives by fostering creativity, body awareness and self-expression in a fun, non-competitive, welcoming environment. We offer ongoing dance classes in-studio, on Zoom and outside weather permitting.

Congratulations to the 2024 McKnight Choreographer Fellows and 2024 McKnight Dancer Fellows! McKnight Artist Fellowships deliver significant financial support to mid-career individuals whose work demonstrates artistic excellence. As a result, three Choreographer Fellows and three Dancer Fellows will individually receive $25,000 to set aside time for study, reflection, experimentation, and exploration to take advantage of an opportunity or work on a new project.

The McKnight Fellowships for Choreography and Dance are designed to enrich and strengthen our community by acknowledging the accomplishments of individual choreographers and dancers and providing for their artistic growth.

Volunteers Needed for Hatch Dance/HoneyWorks’ In C

Hatch Dance and HoneyWorks are looking for individuals to help with with stage set up during the afternoon on Thursday, June 13; and tear down the evening of Sunday, June 16.

Volunteers are also needed to help with ushering performances.
