We are still accepting video auditions for Ballet Royale’s summer intensives. Submit a video audition today for four unique summer opportunities! 

Focused Training Program (ages 11 and up) or Division I & II dancers (ages 8 and up) | June 13-30, 2022 – One week June Intensive! Audition required for dancers new to Ballet Royale.

Male Dancer Intensive (ages 10 through professional) | June 20-24, 2022 – A one week Intensive Program for motivated aspiring Male Identifying Dancers. Audition/pre-approval required.

July Summer Intensive (ages 8 through professional) | July 11-29, 2022 – Ballet Royale’s July Intensive has been developed to give students the ultimate experience in dance, featuring top-quality professional teachers and guest Master Teachers. Audition required for Division II and up (dancers nine and older). 

Grand Prix Variations Workshop (ages 9 and up) | August 8-19, 2022 – This is a focused ballet and variations workshop specializing in preparing dancers for performing or competing in national ballet competitions. Pre-competitive, Junior, and Senior Divisions. Audition required.

Twin Cities Ballet has an open position for a male-identifying company dancer for the 2022/23 season. This is a competitive, salaried position. Strong classical ballet, partnering, and contemporary skills required. We also have limited student trainee and unpaid apprentice positions available for male and female dancers.

Please submit the following audition materials by email:

• Your resumé
• Two photos: First arabesque and a headshot showing at least 3/4 face. Either attach small format photos or provide a link.
• Video link showing classwork or performance clips, clearly demonstrating your classical ballet technique.
• State whether you are currently eligible to work in the United States.

Twin Cities Ballet (TCB) is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit professional dance company that creates original full-length and shorter story ballets, a rare and nearly lost art, as well as more abstract contemporary ballet-based works. An emerging gem in the Twin Cities, TCB has carefully built a financially solid and growing organization that is making its mark both regionally and nationally through its creative and innovative artistic endeavors. Ballet Royale’s new Pre-Professional Program provides students with an even more rigorous and demanding training schedule, designed and created for students striving towards a professional or post-secondary dance career. Building on the ongoing success of Ballet Royale’s elite Professional Division program, the Pre-Professional program expands these opportunities to students of all ages—not just the highest levels.

Ballet Royale’s Professional Division is an elite day training program that provides a comprehensive advanced course of study for advanced, talented, and ambitious students. Students accepted in this program have demonstrated commitment and dedication, are at the highest technical and artistic level, and are approaching and preparing for a post-secondary or professional career. Select Professional Division students may be invited to dance as Student Trainees with the professional ballet company, Twin Cities Ballet.

Admission and acceptance into the Pre-Professional Program & Professional Division is by Audition and Invitation only.

Audition: June 4, 2022

• 9:00am – 10:30am: Pre-Professional Program & Professional Division Audition for Ages 11-21 (With Pointe) Pre-Registration & Completed Audition Waiver is required.
• 11:00am – 12:30pm: Pre-Professional Program Audition for Ages 7-13 (No Pointe) Pre-Registration & Completed Audition Waiver is required.

Alternative Motion Project is Holding Open Auditions on Friday, June 10 from 10:00am – 1:00 pm.!

AMP is looking for dynamic and expressive movers for projects as part of our upcoming 2022-23 season. We are seeking passionate, authentic, and curious movers who want to work collaboratively, immerse and challenge themselves with a wide range of material, and continue their artistic development through working with a variety of artists. If this is you, come Move BIG with AMP!

Ideal candidates to join our community of artists should have a strong sense of your individual/unique movement point of view and possess an inquisitive and investigative nature rooted in community-building. All genders, races, and ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to audition.

Alternative Motion Project serves as a catalyst to empower and connect individuals and communities through the art of contemporary dance. AMP presents accessible, compelling, and collaborative dance experiences through performance + education programs.

Movers selected as Company Members will be independent contractors. Stipends will be contracted based on the amount of time and involvement within each project and performance. Benefits also include free weekly movement practice, when offered.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
Video submissions will be accepted if you cannot attend. Video clips should include both performance and improvisational movement. Please submit a Vimeo link (no longer than 5 minutes) by 11:59pm on Thursday, June 9th through the Registration Form. Submissions received after this deadline may not be considered. Those who submit video auditions, please regularly check your email for a schedule availability survey.

The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory is currently accepting Teaching Artist applications for the 2022/23 school year. 

Classes are instructed using Ballet Co.Laboratory’s curriculum/syllabus. Join us to mentor, empower, and inspire the future of dance.

We are seeking performers who possess:

• Serious dance artistry
• Documented concert performing experience
• Strong technical contemporary dance capability
• Willingness to work as an ensemble
• Comfortable with human expression and performing full out

Rehearsals: Two 2-hour rehearsals per week, dependent upon casting decisions; beginning May 2022. Available Fridays, 7:30-9:30pm and Sundays, 11:30-1:30pm. Performances scheduled for July 2022 and beyond. Performances are compensated.
