What is Coordi™
It’s a movement study based on multiple kinetic patterns happening at once. Physical brain teasers combine with ballet for unexpected pathways and alignments that challenge both your mind and body! Classes are for dancers and non dancers. No experience necessary.

Bharatanatyam Classes at the Ragamala Training Center

At the Ragamala Training Center, students receive classical training in the style of Bharatanatyam carefully created by the internationally renowned Padma Bhushan Alarmel Valli, considered to be one of India’s greatest living masters. This style is distinguished by its technical perfection and grace, and Artistic Directors Ranee Ramaswamy and Aparna Ramaswamy are dedicated to preserving and carrying on their guru’s tradition and passing it on to the next generation of dancers.

Ragamala classes provide students with rigorous training while giving them an opportunity to learn about, preserve, and immerse themselves in the arts and culture of India. Ragamala Training Center’s unique program stresses artistic excellence and a professional level of training while fostering cultural awareness.

Ragamala Training Center offers introductory through advanced level classes for ages 7 through adult.

Ballet Co.Laboratory Adult Drop-In Classes

No matter if you are a veteran dancer or slipping on your first pair of ballet shoes, Ballet Co.Laboratory is an artistic home for everyone. With 11 different adult drop-in classes offered each week, including conditioning and Pilates, we know we have the right class for you!

Join us in-person or virtually via Zoom. All dancers must sign-in on Mindbody. Class sign-in will close 10 minutes before class begins. Single class and 10-class cards are available and parking is always free!

St Paul Ballet Summer Study Auditions for New Students

SPB Summer Study programming provides classes throughout the summer months in flexible session options. Sessions offer serious students a healthy progression of continuous classes in classical ballet, modern and more with accomplished faculty, live accompaniment, and acclaimed guest artists.

During this week of summer auditions, April 18-23, you have the option to attend the class that best fits your schedule. Audition class day and time options, include:

Ages 10–13 with no pointe experience:
Monday, 4:30-6:00pm OR
Wednesday, 4:30-6:00pm OR
Thursday, 4:30-600pm

Ages 13–22 with minimum 1 year pointe
Monday, 4:00-6:00pm OR
Wednesday, 4:00-6:00pm OR
Saturday, 9:00 – 11:00am

Audition for Christopher Watson Dance Company

Dancers interested in performing with the Christopher Watson Dance Company are invited to take workshop classes with the company on two Sundays, April 24 & May 1 from 2-4:30 PM. The free classes will include modern technique, company repertoire and improvisation.

Christopher Watson Dance Company is multigenerational and its dance works draw on classic modern technique, including Cunningham, Limon and Taylor. Company and guest choreographers employ improvisation and create in collaboration with the dancers. Musical scores range from Western classical and romantic to contemporary and pop.

Upcoming performances include a concert at Minnesota Opera’s newly renovated Luminary Arts Center (formerly The Lab Theater) in Minneapolis’ North Loop the week of October 31-November 6, 2022.

Dancers are paid hourly for rehearsals and performances.

Jawaahir Dance Company Auditions

We are looking to bring on new company members and would love to have you audition!

Prepare to perform a 3- to 6-minute solo. At the end of the time, you will learn a JDC choreography to be performed with all auditioning dancers. Bring music on a CD or mobile device.

Seeking Dancers for MN Fringe Show

Perform with Pacific Midwest Ballet in the 2022 MN Fringe Festival!
This summer, join us in putting on Cupcake Murders: a Ballet, a modern-day murder mystery with dancing cupcakes! When the co-owners of a cupcake bakery start mysteriously dying after a lucrative buy-out offer, it’s up to the remaining owner to clear her name before she too becomes a victim. The show will be 45 minutes long, with five performances during the MN Fringe Festival, August 4-14, 2022.

Auditions
Auditions for all will be Saturday, May 7, 2:00-3:00 pm at Threads Dance Project. We’ll teach a 15-minute warm up barre and two sections of choreography. We are seeking performers who possess:

  • Serious dance artistry

  • Strong technical contemporary dance capability
  • Willingness to work as an ensemble

Rehearsals: Two 2-hour rehearsals per week, dependent upon casting decisions; beginning May 2022. Available Fridays, 7:30-9:30pm and Sundays, 11:30-1:30pm. Performances scheduled for July 2022 and beyond. Performances are compensated.
