Studio Rentals at Collide Theatrical in St. Paul

Need space to rehearse, choreograph, teach, or hold an event? Collide Theatrical has two studios available for rental in our beautiful St. Paul location!

Studio 1

  • 1700 square feet of sprung floor
  • Full wall-length mirrors
  • Rosco Adagio Marley dance floor
  • High ceilings, sky lights, and three chandeliers

Studio 2

  • 550 square feet of sprung wood floor

Both studios have the following amenities:

  • Ballet barres for up to 18 students
  • Free and accessible parking and access to public transportation line
  • Gender-specific bathrooms (non-gender-specific bathroom available in the adjacent building)
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth room speakers
  • Cubbies for holding shoes and clothes
  • Two long folding tables
  • Access to up to 30 folding chairs
  • HVAC heated and cooled spaces with temperature control
  • Hallway drinking fountains
  • Access to kitchenette area available upon request

Single Rental:
Studio 1 – $30/hour
Studio 2 – $20/hour

Long-Term or Multiple-Day Rental:
Studio 1 – $20/hour
Studio 2 – $15/hour

Payment for rental bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your booking to hold your reservation. A signed rental agreement and certificate of insurance must be provided prior to your reservation. Whether this is your first experience with Yorchhā, or you have been practicing for multiple summers, we will meet you where you are to steer you towards individual excellence.

Yorchhā is Ananya Dance Theatre’s trade-marked contemporary technique that intersects principles of vinyasa yoga, classical Indian dance form Odishi (from the eastern Indian state of Odisha) and martial art form Chhau (also from Odisha).

Zenon Dance School – Xchange Program/Work-Study

We are looking for volunteers to be a part of our Xchange Program for the upcoming Spring Session, March 28–June 5, 2022.
Xchange is Zenon’s work-study program that allows students to volunteer in exchange for dance class credit.

Online shift = one class credit
In-person shift = two class credits

Ballet Royale: Summer Classes for Young Dancers

Ballet Royale is offering two different opportunities for young dancers to move and learn throughout the summer!

Each month, we are offering a different Creative Story Ballet Workshop! Give your young dancer the joy of dance & performance. The workshops include a short performance at the end of the workshop, with a different Disney Inspired story each month. Take one, two, or all three workshops!

Saturday, June 18: Encanto-inspired workshop
Saturday, July 16: Tangled-inspired workshop
Saturday, August 20: Frozen II-inspired workshop

Recommended ages 4–9

Broadway Style Summer Intensive at CREO Arts & Dance

Take class from former Rockette, Melinda Farrell! Immerse yourself in Rockette-style combos, Musical Theater, jazz, precision, ballet, and characterization!

Melinda Farrell: Melinda grew up in the Washington DC area. She started training at her mother’s dance studio and went on to study throughout the tri state area. Melinda moved to NYC in 2002 to attend NYU. Shortly after she joined the Radio City Rockettes. She has performed in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and worked as an Assistant Choreographer, Dance Captain and Swing on the show. She also performed in the Spring Spectacular and the Summer Spectacular as a Rockette. Melinda has also been seen on The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, Ellen, Dancing with the Stars and the TONY awards. 

Melinda is passionate about teaching and sharing her experiences with students of all ages. When not performing she travels the country as a guest teacher, she loves dancing with kids of all ages!

Threads Dance Nexus – A Space to Connect and Create

The Threads Dance Nexus is a brand new community hub that not only provides a home for Threads Dance Project, but also strengthens the social fabric of our Minneapolis community through the connective power of dance.

Our 1,480 square foot space has:

  • A professional-grade speaker sound system
  • Sprung floors, barres, and mirrors
  • Two ADA compliant, gender-neutral changing rooms<
  • Large windows and garage door allowing for an abundance of natural light and fresh air

Conveniently located in the Seward neighborhood, we offer free parking and free side street parking. We are a five-minute walk from the Franklin Light Rail Station, and a 2-5 minute walk from the nearest bus stops (lines 2, 9, 22, 67).

To request space, please email nexusrentals@threadsdance.org. A nonrefundable deposit equal to one hour at the renter’s base rate is due to secure space.

Zenon Dance School – Camp Zenon: Youth Dance Sampler Camps

Discover dance with a week-long camp for young artists! Not sure if your dancer has a style they like best, or looking for a way to try out something new? We’ll explore a variety of dance styles and creative movements in this one-week camp. There will be an informal showing on the last day. All abilities and levels of experience are welcome. In-person only at the Zenon Dance School studios.

Classical Ballet Partnering Summer Workshop

Refine the art of the the Pas De Duex this summer with Sam Neale & Alejandra Iannone at CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory. Dancers will enjoy a full ballet technique class, pointe or conditioning class, and pas de deux class. They will learn foundational handholds, footwork and skills for effortless partnered pirouettes & lifts.

Mondays and Wednesdays | July 18-27

  • 9:00-10:30 Classical Ballet Technique
  • 10:30-11:30 Conditioning or Pointe

Sam Neale: Australian born and raised, Sam began his training at the Atelier School for Classical Ballet before being accepted on scholarship into The McDonald College, where he was also a member of Premier State Ballet. Sam stayed there for two years under Josephine Jason and Allan Cross. After spending the summers of 2009 and 2010 at Milwaukee Ballet Summer Intensive, Sam was accepted into Milwaukee Ballet II, where he danced from 2010 to 2012. Some of Sam’s highlighted roles are Lila York’s Celts, Mauro de Candia’s Something I Had in Mind, Salvatore Aiello’s Clowns and Others. Sam joined Minnesota Ballet in 2012 where he danced for eight seasons. Sam has also been a guest artist with St. Lucie Ballet, Miami International Ballet Competition, Ballet Co.laboratory and Twin Cities Ballet. Sam has been a guest teacher throughout his career and is excited to joined the Creo teaching staff in 2021.

Alejandra Lannone: Alejandra was classically trained in the Cecchetti method and obtained her B.F.A in Dance from Fordham University and The Ailey School. She has had the honor of performing at venues throughout the Twin Cities Metro, the United States, and abroad. Recent favorites include The Shed, The Ordway Center for Performing Arts Alejandra is an ABT® Affiliate Instructor who successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Levels 6, 7 & Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is certified in Balanced Body Pilates (Mat 1 and 2), IM=X Pilates, Leap ‘N Learn Creative Movement, and holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Temple University. 

Rent TU Dance Center Studios

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming.

TU Dance Center features a reception area and front desk for check-in or event use. Access to adjacent dressing room and green room with kitchenette are available upon request

Both studios feature:

  • Sprung dance floor with Marley-type surface by Harlequin
  • Wall of mirrors
  • Portable ballet barre units 10′ in length
  • Room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs
  • 50′ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing
  • Large windows providing ample natural light

Studio 1 only: a curtain that can be drawn on entire mirror; wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′

Rental Fees:
Individual artists: $18/hour.
Nonprofit organizations: $22/hour for rehearsals.
