Create! Dance and Photography Workshop with Young Dance

Create! Dance and Photography Workshop
An introduction to interdisciplinary artistic practices and the overlaps between movement and visual art.

Monday-Thursday, July 26-29
9:30am-12:00pm
Ages: 8-15

Location: Newell Park, 900 Fairview Ave N, St. Paul, MN 55104
In the case of rain, the camp will be held at Young Dance, 655 Fairview Ave N, St. Paul, MN 55104
Tuition: $150

Experience the joy and fun of dance, while learning the elements of photography and how images can inspire choreography and creativity! Each day will consist of a group photo walk to help participants focus on their photography goals and let them practice the new skills they’ve learned. During these photo walks, they will develop and hone their visual acuity, looking for the light, shadows, shapes, and more. The participants will then apply the elements of photography to movement sessions in creation and dance technique.

*Digital device with photography capabilities recommended, but not required.
Participants will receive a link to photographs taken during the workshop by the instructor of this camp, professional photographer Blake Nellis.
