Rent TU Dance Center Studios

TU Dance Center is available for rental when not in use by TU Dance’s programming. TU Dance Center features a reception area and front desk for check-in or event use. Access to adjacent dressing room and green room with kitchenette are available upon request.

Both studios feature:
Sprung dance floor with Marley-type surface by Harlequin
Wall of mirrors
Portable ballet barre units 10′ in length
Room-level sound system with CD and mini-jack inputs
50″ LCD TV cart for presentation and videoconferencing
Large windows providing ample natural light

Studio 1 only: A curtain that can be drawn on entire mirror; wall-mounted ballet barres of 27′ and 33′.

Rental fees:
Individual artists: $18/hour
Nonprofit organizations: $22/hour for rehearsals

Off-Leash Area is seeking Homeowners/Hosts for their Eighth Annual Neighborhood Garage Tour!

Do you have a 2-car garage? Do you love the performing arts? Do you enjoy bringing people together? If you answered “yes,” you would be a great host for the Garage Tour!

Off-Leash Area’s Neighborhood Garage Tour is the company’s performing arts access program where the company transforms typical 2-car garages into 40-seat black box theaters, complete with set, lights, stage, seating, and performers to connect with underserved audiences across the Metro, with the overall goal of expanding participation in the arts.

We are especially looking for households with a person with disabilities. Off-Leash Area’s mission includes working for equity and opportunity for all persons with disabilities.

ARENA Dances will host the next Floorwork at Center for Performing Arts in Minneapolis, with City Officials. This April Floorwork will be a gathering to continue conversation and take action with regard to the closing of the Goodale Theater. We will build off what we have learned from the Dance Town Hall.

Located in the heart of the Lyn-Lake community, The Arena is available for your rehearsal, class, and event needs!

Our space offers:
1,305 square feet (30×40) of sprung, Marley dance flooring
Wall-length mirrors with curtains for covering if preferred

Access to multiple bus lines, including the 21, 4, 23, 612, and 18

Hourly rates range from $17-$25, with discounts/special offerings available to BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ communities. Inquire for savings.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach full-time in a liberal arts environment, including courses in contemporary dance techniques, history, theory, composition and performance.
  • Serve as Dance Program Director.
  • Oversee the dance curriculum and minor program, with a commitment to diverse approaches to dance beyond a Eurocentric lens.
  • Direct and choreograph for the Annual Main Season dance production.
  • Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
  • Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
  • Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
  • Contribute to student growth and development including student advising.
  • Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
  • Support Winona State University’s mission to enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate or master of fine arts in Dance Performance, Dance Studies, and/or Choreography.
  • Successful teaching experience at the university level.
  • A record of creative or scholarly achievements in the field of dance.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring from a dynamic multicultural perspective.

MotionArt’s mission is to share the art of dance and the joy of movement with people of all ages and abilities. We strive to enrich lives by fostering creativity, body awareness, and self-expression in a fun, non-competitive, welcoming environment. We offer ongoing dance classes in-studio, on Zoom, and outside (weather permitting).

Paying the regular rate helps keep our organization afloat; however, no one will be turned away for inability to pay. There is also an option to pay what you can.

Adult Drop-Ins: $20 per class or $180 for a 10-class pass. Good for either ballet, jazz, or Collide Barre; must be used within 6 months.
