Threads NexGen/YDP is looking to hire gifted instructors to teach ballet and modern technique classes for upcoming 12-week fall sessions. We seek skilled dance instructors to teach weekly programming at Threads Dance Nexus.
NexGen/YDP uses a holistic approach to training future dance artists. The program enables youth to enhance technical skills, explore creativity, and manage stress and trauma in a safe, supportive environment. Students receive high-level training and education from professionals in ballet technique, modern dance technique, embodied movement exploration, and nutrition. We strive to create an equitable and inclusive learning environment where students’ gifts are cultivated, and growth opportunities embraced. We emphasize that all learners should be treated with dignity and respect.
Creative Connections Project
Ages 4-7
September 18 to December 14, 2024
Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00pm
Young Dancers Project
Ages 8-12
September 17 to December 14, 2024
Tuesdays, 5:00-8:00pm
Candidates must have extensive experience in ballet and/or modern, strong communication skills, experience working with children, and the ability to provide informative, engaging, and effective movement instruction that reflects the Dance Nexus philosophy.
Compensation: Instructors will be compensated for class hours at a rate of $40/hour. Instructors are welcome to attend Threads Company Class on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00-10:30am, as well as rent the studio at a discounted staff rate.
