Give Ear

From Dancer/Choreographer Berit Ahlgren (HoneyWorks) and Actor/Director Nathan Keepers (The Moving Company), Give Ear is a dance/theater collaboration focused on the means of listening or being listened to, and what might happen if we tune in more intentionally to what’s around us.

Give Ear was commissioned by The Cowles Center as part of their MERGE Program. Slated to premiere March 2020 but cancelled due to the pandemic, the piece is a reimagining and evolution of the original work so it might resonate for audiences today.

A pillar of HoneyWorks mission is to provide opportunities for its dance-artists to share their own choreography within a HoneyWorks program. In addition to the performance of Give Ear, please join us as we welcome works-in-progress by cast member Christian Warner (NYC) featuring dancer Amanda Sachs and musician Andrew Bocher.

Summer Soiree benefit for ARENA DANCES

Join us for a night of summer celebration!

Our roaring Summer Soiree will raise support for our upcoming world premiere of Erased Steps, coming to the historic Union Depot in downtown Saint Paul this August. A dance-theatre work, Erased Steps is inspired by visual artist Eve Sussman, a British-born American creator of film, video, installation, sculpture, and photography. The dancer’s relationships are gradually revealed through the work’s deft abstraction, incorporating dance, visual symbolism, and imaginative staging to an original score by local composer Zack Baltich.

The evening will be filled with 1920’s inspired bite-sized apps by Create Catering, libations, an experiential silent auction, fresh fashion by MartinPatrick 3…and an exclusive sneak peek of Erased Steps by ARENA DANCES!

Thursday, June 15, 6:00–9:00pm
at MartinPatrick 3
FREE to attend!
Includes appetizers and drinks, with performances by ARENA DANCES
RSVP by June 10.
